The Business Services Coordinator reviews the application to ensure that all required documents and applicable licenses have been provided. At the end of the process they will issue the city Business Tax Receipt, along with the signed application for the Palm Beach County Local Business Tax Receipt, to the business. It is the responsibility of the business owner or agent to then apply with Palm Beach County.
Planning & Zoning Division
Planning and Zoning reviews the application to ensure that each business is in the appropriate zoning district. Upon approval of the city application, the Development Compliance Technician routes the application to the Fire Department for commercial businesses, and to the Business Services Coordinator for Home signs off on the the zoning section for the Palm Beach County Local Business Tax Receipt application.
A Life Safety inspection is conducted at the end of the Business Tax Receipt process for commercial businesses to ensure that the business location is safe and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations Business Tax Receipt Fire Inspection Requirements
Code Enforcement ensures each business is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and inspections.
